Hustle Cat

Insight and Debate?

This game is awesome and caused some debate which we’ll cover at a later date! Curious well, here’s a little taste of the debate between the differences between Otome, dating sims, visual novels, eroge (erotic games), galge (gal games), and Otoge (otome games). Eris thinks Hustle cat is a dating sim where as I the great and magnificent Sunflower thinks it’s an Otome. Either way we both think it is a fun game to play!

We played a route on Twitch, which was so much fun voice Acting and playing with friends! I had completed all routes before hand which unlocks a possible hidden route “Graves route” and that’s so happen the route Eris was hoping for and got lucky. We spin a wheel from who ever is voice acting or sometimes even the chat gets to choose what we should answer when questions pop up, so to get the route Eris wanted was quite fortunate when competing with the rest of us!

We both enjoyed the story, settings, quirky characters and the dynamic between them. Eris wishes there were a more diverse story between the routes but I liked depending on what you choose would change who you would end up with. The story takes place where the MC is a slob living with your aunt and decide to get a job. You don’t get to choose the name so you are stuck with Avery Grey but you get to decide gender (him, her, or they) long or short hair and between 3 different skin tones. Avery Grey decides to go for a walk and sees a help wanted poster at a cat Cafe (A Cat’s Paw). Avery applies for the job in the strangest interview ever, gets the job, signs a bunch a paperwork and becomes cursed… always read the fine print! In this modern setting, turns out there is magic and all your fellow employees can turn into cats and can only have human form while in the Cafe. Along the way you find out that magic is based on what affinity you have, and since Avery is a slob they have an affinity for trash. Shenanigans ensue depending on your choices will determine who’s ending you get.
